Senior Property Manager

Michael Fomalont is Senior Property Manager for Montross Management, LLC, where he oversees the management of over 500,000 square feet of office space throughout the Washington Metropolitan area.  Mr. Fomalont’s career has spanned over 20 years; prior to working with Montross Management he had worked for some of the largest and most well known real estate developers/property management companies in the Washington, D.C. market.

Mr. Fomalont is an active member of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and has been designated as a Certified Property Manager through IREM.  In addition, Mr. Fomalont is an active member of the Apartment and Office Building Association (AOBA), is a member of their Utility Committee, and is a past recipient of AOBA’s Office Building of the Year award.  In addition, Michael is a member of the Western Montgomery County Citizens Advisory Board.

Mr. Fomalont graduated from the American University with a degree in Psychology.  He resides in Bethesda, Maryland.

Carlos M. Montenegro, Esq.
Prior to becoming co-manager of Montross Management, LLC, Mr. Montenegro spent twenty years in solo practice addressing business, corporate, and land use issues for his real estate and business clients. Mr. Montenegro has dedicated a substantial portion of his practice over the past five years to property management and leasing activities. Mr. Montenegro is intimately involved in all aspects of property management, leasing, as well as the acquisition, evaluation and risk management of the real estate development process. Mr. Montenegro has represented individuals, corporations, investors, developers, and financial institutions with regard to their residential, commercial and industrial properties. Mr. Montenegro graduated from George Mason University with a B.A. in 1974, and from the University of Virginia with a Master of Planning in 1976. He attended the George Mason University School of Law, where he was Chairman of the Moot Court team and earned his JD in 1986. He is a member of the Virginia Bar.
